Arthur D. Monson Ph.D. -

Senior Litigation Consultant Art Monson, Ph.D., has been a key member of the firm almost since its inception and is among the most experienced in the Tsongas organization and in the trial consulting industry.

Dr. Monson has directed the analysis of pretrial research in several hundred cases. He is widely acknowledged for his expertise in the design of voir dire questions, special juror questionnaires and evaluation of verdict forms and jury instructions. He has assisted legal counsel in jury selection in civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts.

With an academic background in speech, communication and English, Monson earned his Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska, where he taught for nine years. Before joining Tsongas, Monson held policy and administrative positions in state and municipal government in Alaska and in Nebraska. He has been a featured speaker in numerous continuing legal education programs and has served on the editorial board for a series of books on law and the social sciences and on the review committee for a periodical reviewing social science research and the law.

He is a longtime member of the American Society of Trial Consultants and has served on its board of directors.
